The coalition was formed in late 2008 by a small group of Fellows from the Community Health Foundation of Western and Central New York (now the Health Foundations for Western and Central New York) who were interested in exploring how the community might provide better trauma-informed services. Since then, our group has grown in numbers significantly and so has our energy and drive to build a trauma informed community.
